What is a billing schedule ?

A billing schedule defines the planned dates and amounts for invoicing a customer over the duration of a contract.

A billing schedule maps out all the future billing dates and expected invoice amounts for a customer relationship. It gives both the vendor and the customer full visibility into upcoming charges.

Example: An enterprise customer signing a 3-year contract receives a billing schedule showing 36 monthly invoices of $5,000, with amounts adjusted for any contracted price escalations.
